Biography
| I am Jennifer Burlingame. I was born, and educated in Western Washington, spent some time in Portland, Oregon, and Sunnyvale, CA, and am now back in Olympia, Washington. A graduate of The Evergreen State College, I'm a teacher at Mariah Art School in Olympia Washinton and spend my nights and weekends developing my own artwork! My artwork often comes forth from a series of free association sketches, with one drawing taking shape into another until some appealing imagery begins to emerge which can be developed. In this way, doing art is can be like writing in a diary. Its a safe place to sort through emotions and feelings on paper, then I choose from that free association imagery and put time into clarifying the ideas that demand for further attention. |
